Planting Instructions (Bare Root Tuber/Rhizome):

1. Choose a Planting Container: Select a wide, shallow aquatic planting pot (typically 6-10 inches in diameter).
2. Prepare the Pot: Fill the pot with heavy aquatic planting soil (avoid using potting mix with added perlite or vermiculite, as it will float).
3. Plant the Tuber/Rhizome: Gently press the tuber/rhizome into the soil, ensuring the growing tip (where new growth will emerge) is pointing upwards and is just below the soil surface. Do not bury it too deeply.
4. Add a Top Layer (Optional): You can add a layer of gravel or small stones on top of the soil to help keep it in place and prevent fish from disturbing it.  
5. Submerge Carefully: Slowly lower the planted pot into your pond, placing it in a location that receives at least 6 hours of sunlight per day. Start with the pot in shallower water (around 6-12 inches above the top of the pot) and gradually move it to deeper water as the plant grows. Mature water lilies can be placed in water up to 2-4 feet deep, depending on the variety.
6. Enjoy the Growth! With proper conditions, you'll soon see new leaves emerging, followed by the anticipation of beautiful blooms.
