  • Temperature: 72–82°F (22–28°C)

  • pH: 6.5–7.5

  • Hardness: Soft to moderately hard (2–15 dGH)

Description:
The Lemon Blue Eye Pleco is a stunning and sought-after variety of bristlenose pleco, admired for its vibrant yellow body and striking icy-blue eyes. This small, peaceful algae-eater is ideal for community tanks and is particularly popular among aquascapers and collectors for its unique color and practical cleaning abilities.

These fish are bottom-dwellers and spend their time foraging on driftwood, rocks, and tank walls. Males may develop the classic bristlenose tentacles as they mature, adding to their distinct appearance.

Fun Facts:

  • The blue eye trait is a rare genetic feature selectively bred into this line.

  • They help keep aquariums clean by eating algae and leftover food.

  • Unlike larger plecos, Lemon Blue Eyes stay compact, making them great for small to mid-sized tanks.

  • Provide driftwood—it's essential for their digestion!

Diet:
Primarily herbivorous—offer algae wafers, blanched vegetables (zucchini, spinach, cucumber), and occasional protein treats like bloodworms or brine shrimp.

Compatibility:
Excellent for peaceful community tanks. They do well with tetras, rasboras, dwarf cichlids, and other non-aggressive species.

Add a splash of sunshine and sparkle to your tank with the Lemon Blue Eye Pleco—a gorgeous, low-maintenance bottom-dweller that’s as functional as it is beautiful!
